Christine Knize of Miami’s Top Notch Real Estate Service’s Story

Christine Knize, Broker of Top Notch Real Estate Services, Inc.  opened her boutique Miami Real Estate Brokerage in 2009 in Pinecrest, FL. Christine’s experience includes almost three decades of construction and design. She is the president of Palladio Building and Design, Inc., a small general contracting firm that she partners with her husband, Joey Whitehead. She also owns a well-known decorative paint company, Faux by Christine, Inc, which has served Miami residents for over 27 years.

Early Real Estate Experience

Christine earned her sales associates license in 2005 as an interest in buying properties for her building company to renovate and sell. This branched out into working with her friends in finding them homes and finally evolved into a full-fledged Miami Real Estate Company in its own right.

Christine’s Construction Background

Christine Knize’s active involvement in the construction industry and knowledge of South Florida building codes and practices is an asset when working with her real estate customers, both buyers and sellers. One of the biggest obstacles for a Miami home buyer today is the issue of unclosed out permits or illegal additions and renovations. Christine knows the path to take to discover if a property does indeed have these problems and how to address them before closing. If a real estate transaction does close without detecting these issues, the buyer will inherit the problem.

Working with Miami Distressed Properties

One of Top Notch Real Estate Services, Inc.’s specialties is working with Miami Distressed Properties; foreclosures and short sales. Christine has the Real Estate Owned Specialist distinction which she acquired in 2009. Some of these troubled homes might appear to be a bargain at first sight but on the other hand many of them come with liens, unpaid taxes, association dues and extensive property damages. “Let the buyer beware” warns buyers that the goods he or she is buying are “as is,” or subject to all defects. One has to be cautious in the Miami home buying minefield.

Christine Knize’s Roots

Christine Knize was born in New York City and grew up in New Canaan, CT. Christine’s parents were both immigrants, her father Austrian and her mother French-Canadian. She attended Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia and Rome, Italy for her BFA and Rhode Island School of Design for her MFA. She lived in TriBeCa, New York City for six years before migrating to Miami. Christine has renovated and constructed houses in Coconut Grove and Pinecrest. She now lives in Pinecrest with her husband in a house that they designed and built in 2002.
Christine’s fast growing reputation has been built from hard work and determination and her unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. She successfully navigates her buyers and sellers throughout the most arduous of real estate transactions. Christine specializes in homes and condos in Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami and Cutler Bay. She works all hours of the day, including weekends.
